2017-2018 EWG Mentoring Program Dynamic Mentoring Orientation – Wednesday, October 11, 2017 3:00-5:00pm (14 proteges, 16 mentors, 1 PC)
The EWG 2017-2018 Mentoring Program cohort came together at the Women’s Memorial to participate in the Dynamic Mentoring Connections – a session designed to acquaint mentors and protégés with the benefits of mentoring and explains how the mentoring program is structured. It also gives participants the opportunity to understand program expectations, and to learn how to identify and select a mentoring partner. A special feature of the Orientation was a speed mentoring event. Speed mentoring gives mentors and protégés an opportunity to introduce themselves and learn more about each other before making their mentoring selections.
EWG President Paige Atkins and Marilyn Quagliotti opened the session with welcome remarks and thank-yous, and the session was facilitated by The Training Connection’s Founder and President, Kathy Wentworth Drahosz.
2017-2018 EWG Mentoring Program Dynamic Mentoring Connections – Tuesday, November 7, 2017 3:00-5:30pm (14 proteges, 13 mentors, 1 PC)
This key session, facilitated by TTCs Kathy Wentworth Drahosz, is the first opportunity for matched participants to come together in a formal training environment to discuss launching their mentoring partnership. The Dynamic Mentoring Connections session engages mentors and protégés in a series of career development discussions designed to allow partners time to plan their strategies, and to begin to practice and apply mentoring skills to their relationships. The 2017-2018 EWG Mentoring Program cohort received practical, easy-to-use mentoring guides (along with the DISC Behavioral Assessment and the Workplace Values Report) for use during the training program, and for on-going career counseling and career planning.
