Membership

EWG members represent all branches of the federal government, including current employees, those retired from the federal service, current and former political appointees, current and former members of the armed forces of the United States, and former federal employees who are now in the non-profit and corporate sectors.

EWG offers members the opportunity to connect with other women who are or have been senior leaders in the federal government. These shared experiences provide the foundation for meaningful relationships. Members have access to our membership directory, which allows us to connect with each other.

EWG offers a wide variety of scheduled events throughout the year. Many of our events are aimed at providing members with opportunities to learn the skills necessary to succeed in executive level positions, such as our annual professional conference. EWG also prioritizes social events for our members, where we can relax and enjoy the company of each other.

EWG is committed to supporting the careers of current and former federal women leaders by offering leadership development events, opportunities to build professional networks, and pathways for high achieving senior leaders to sponsor or be sponsored, and to mentor or be mentored. Through mentorship, members can give back, share their experience, and encourage more women to pursue executive leadership positions.

EWG promotes engagement among members and opens dialogue throughout the organization. We are a member-led organization, with opportunities for members to take on leadership roles and influence the direction of EWG. Members are invited to run for positions on the Board of Directors (BOD) or volunteer to lead one of our standing committees.
