Subject: Invitation to Join Us – Executive Women in Government

Dear Colleague,
I am pleased to invite you to a special Inaugural event with the Executive Women in Government (EWG) on June 27, 2019. Founded in 1973, Executive Women in Government is a non-profit, nonpartisan organization comprised of Federal Government women executives. Members prepare, promote, and support women for senior leadership positions in the Federal Government and the military through networking, shared knowledge and experience, and mentoring.

One of the benefits of membership with the Executive Women in Government is that each member is provided technical information, advocacy, mentoring and professional networking opportunities to help expand networks, perspective, and potential career opportunities.

This month, the EWG is hosting an event at the historic DACOR Bacon House, centrally located at 1801 F Street, NW in downtown Washington D.C. Attendees will enjoy networking time at DACOR Bacon’s unique “Jazz in the Garden” upon arrival. A Membership Meeting will precede the annual Inauguration ceremony, to review the activities of the past year. Register now for this special EWG event, using this link: DACOR Bacon House Event The Honorable Kathleen Kraninger, Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau since late 2018, will offer remarks and administer the Oath of Office during the Inauguration of Officers for 2019-2020.

Kathy Kraninger became Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in December 2018. From her early days as a Peace Corps volunteer to her role establishing the Department of Homeland Security, to her policy work at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to the CFPB, Director Kraninger has dedicated her career to public service.

In support of our members and the mission of EWG, this event will provide an opportunity to celebrate the graduates from the EWG Mentoring Cohort for 2018-2019 and welcome the new officers this year.

We would be honored if you could join us in June and encourage you to save the date for the Leadership Summit that will be held at the Women’s Memorial on March 14, 2020 in celebration of Women’s history month. For more information about EWG events, visit www.execwomeningov.org
