Executive Women in Government (EWG) needs you! Make a difference and volunteer to lead in EWG as we head into our 51st year of preparing, promoting, and mentoring women for senior leadership positions in the Federal Government. Serving as a volunteer is an excellent opportunity to foster the exchange of ideas and perspectives with other women leaders, while strengthening powerful relationships.
The Nomination Committee will soon begin the search for candidates to lead as EWG’s Board of Directors for the 2024 – 2025 term. Positions include PRESIDENT, VICE PRESIDENT, SECRETARY, and TREASURER. The President, Vice President, and Secretary commit to a one-year term (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025), with the President serving as immediate past President one year after their term expires (July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026). The Treasurer serves for a two-year term (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2026).
If you are interested in being considered for one or more of these positions, the Nominating Committee encourages you to submit a nomination as follows:
Provide a short biography (including current position/grade) or a current resume with a statement of interest detailing your qualifications for the position.
All candidates must be members in good standing of EWG. Check eligibility criteria at EWG Bylaws.
If you are placing someone else’s name into consideration, please secure their consent and why their experience/involvement will support EWG’s mission.
Submit nominations by Monday, May 6, 2024, to [email protected].
We welcome members interested in serving to reach out to current Board members to discuss any open positions. Each of us has had the great honor of serving EWG and would be pleased to speak to any interested candidates about the rewards of serving.
Rhonda C. Shaffer,
President
