Executive Women in Government (EWG) is very pleased to have Deborah Tannen speak with EWG and share her inside knowledge on Women’s patterns of communication and miscommunication that affects friendships at different stages of women’s lives. Her stories are both entertaining and factual , based on her interviews with over 80 women from 90-97.

Deborah Tannen holds the distinguished rank of University Professor at Georgetown University.

Among her many books, best known is “YOU JUST DON’T UNDERSTAND,’’ which was on the NY Times Best seller list for almost 4 years, including 8 months as #1.

She is a frequent guest on television and radio shows, and has written for and been featured in most major magazines and newspapers including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, and The Harvard Business Review.

A book signing, conducted by Politics and Prose will be held immediately following her presentation.
