Ways to Support the Executive Women in Government Organization

As an Executive Women in Government (EWG) member, you have the opportunity to gather with an extraordinary group of women for both professional and social purposes. From educational leadership summits to social gatherings, EWG is a wonderful place to network, grow, and be around others who share your professional outlook and goals.

If you’re wondering about specific ways to lend a hand and support EWG, there are many ways to do so. Here are some of the ways you can support the EWG as a member:

Attend the EWG 2020 Leadership Summit
The EWG 2020 Leadership Summit is coming up on Thursday, March 12. If you have yet to purchase your tickets and schedule a day of leave from the office for this unparalleled event, now’s the time to do so! This year’s theme is “The Power of Persistence” and the EWG team is pulling out all the stops. From a meaningful event location to awe-inspiring guest speakers and panelists, the Leadership Summit is going to be one you’ll be talking about for months to come. Buy your tickets online and get ready to be inspired and educated on March 12.

Support Suited for Change
Another way to support EWG is to support the organizations we lend a hand to. The featured nonprofit at the 2020 Leadership Summit is Suited for Change, a DC-based organization that operates on a mission to empower women through increasing their job retention and employment potential. This leading DC-area nonprofit helps women in need of professional attire, job-readiness education, and mentoring. You can lend a hand to this organization by volunteering, donating professional clothing, or attending one of their upcoming events.

Volunteer at EWG Events
Our organization hosts many events throughout the year and is always in need of volunteers to help these events run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. We’re always looking for volunteers to make our events a success! Therefore, we welcome members who wish to help out and volunteer. If you see an upcoming event that you’d like to donate your time to, please send us an email at [email protected].

Join a Committee
In addition to volunteering, joining an EWG committee is another great way to get involved and show your support for the organization. Our committee needs change annually and there’s certain to be a committee position where you would be a perfect fit! If you’re interested in getting involved as a committee member, send us an email at [email protected] to express your interest.

Spread the Word
Last but certainly not least, spreading the word about our extraordinary organization is an excellent way to show support for EWG. Let your coworkers and friends who are executive professional women know about EWG and what a wonderful organization it is. Tell them about the benefits of joining and why you enjoy being a member. Also, spreading the word about EWG via your social media platforms, including the upcoming 2020 Leadership Summit, is one of the best ways to get the information out there and increase our membership and event attendance numbers, too. And, if you have yet to do so, be sure to follow EWG on the following social media platforms (and share and like our posts!):

Facebook: @ExecWomeninGov
Twitter: @ExecWomeninGov
LinkedIn: executivewomeningovernment
Instagram: @execwomeningov

Most importantly, thank you to our members for making EWG the special organization that it is. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for our organization as we continue to expand our reach and offerings!
